The Orlando Shooting: Obama’s Sin

Jun 13, 2016 — Nelson Hultberg

You can search the history of mankind, and you will never find a successful society that, when under attack, did not clearly define its enemies and gather its resources together in order to vigorously fight those enemies by means of education, law enforcement, and military means when necessary. A society that fails to do this does not survive.

Notice the words “clearly define its enemies” in the above. We as Americans must end the pusillanimous evasion of truth regarding Islam that hangs over our society today like the grisly smell of death in a charnel house. We must come to grips with a most paramount question: “Does our President and his administration have the courage to clearly define America’s enemy, an enemy that has declared its intentions repeatedly and openly over the past 30 years and has only grown more brazen as each decade goes by?”This enemy is radical Islamic terrorism.

Trump and Roosevelt’s Rough Riders

Jun 8, 2016 — Nelson Hultberg

The primary season is over. The real campaign now begins. Can Donald Trump make good on his promise and “make America great again?” If he handles Hillary Clinton like he handled the GOP aspirants to the nomination, then we will be swearing in a most unusual President of the United States on January 20, 2017 - a veritable “force of nature” who does not back down, who unfortunately is bombastic and crude, but also undeniably a patriot of the highest order. Not a Washington or a Jefferson for sure, but perhaps a Theodore Roosevelt without the “progressive idiocy” that poisoned the Rough Rider’s intellectuality.

Whatever else may be said about The Donald, no one can deny that he loves America even in face of the obvious, but tolerable, narcissism. No one can deny that he possesses that vital verve and dominance of personality that is required to be a leader. The energy that emanates from the man is overwhelming, yet also scary because we fear that eventually it will surely careen over the cliff of social propriety and dash our hopes that finally there is a mountain of a man who has the fortitude to attack the contemptible PC world of Washington, D.C. We have had to endure so many pikers, so much humbuggery, so much perfidy over the past 80 years that our tolerance is played out. We as Americans need a Rough Rider who will charge up San Juan Hill and take back our country.

The Police State and Moral Relativism

May 26, 2016 — Nelson Hultberg

An insidious police state is stealing over America today. We as a country have become like a freezing man slipping off to sleep in a blizzard, incapable of recognizing the demise of the liberty and honor on which we were formed. Our liberal-neocon intelligentsia are responsible for this. Their perfidy is comprised of five elements:

Overcoming the Politics of Slavery

May 16, 2016 — Nelson Hultberg

For the past 100 years we have taught the “politics of slavery” to our young, but are now shocked because they have grown into ruthless bureaucrats and apathetic sheep.

Perpetual War for Perpetual Peace

Apr 11, 2016 — Nelson Hultberg

What are the sources of the interminable wars throughout the world today? Why are militant Muslims terrorizing Europe and America? What has caused the turmoil in Ukraine? Is Vladimir Putin desirous of reigniting the Cold War? Does he represent a dangerous threat to the West as his predecessors in the Kremlin did? What role do our own politicians and intellectuals play in this increasing eagerness for war?

Trump vs. the New World Order

Mar 28, 2016 — Nelson Hultberg

The enemies of freedom today saturate our culture like lunacy pervades an asylum. We as Americans suffer inexcusable tax tyranny and relentless Federal Reserve inflation of our currency. Our schools disguise socialism as Americanism to our children. Our pundits succumb to the evil of moral relativism in effusive editorials. Our spineless politicians capitulate at every opportunity to Washington’s march toward World Government instead of doing their honorable duty, which is to defend the Constitution, defend the Founders, defend American sovereignty.

It is into this cauldron of tyrannical decadence that Donald Trump has leaped. Why? Because he is possessed of that defining element so desperately needed in our leftist dominated world collapsing all around us - genuine patriotism. And he is distraught with the collapse that is taking place.

Trump’s Precarious Path to the Nomination

Mar 21, 2016 — Nelson Hultberg

George Orwell told us, “The further a society drifts from truth, the more it will hate those who speak it.” Donald Trump has spoken powerful truths to America on immigration, trade policy, foreign wars, media integrity, and Republican competence. The political establishment has responded with tidal waves of vitriol and mendacity. Consequently Trump’s path to the GOP nomination is now racked with dangerous pitfalls and hate-filled Rinos waiting in the bushes to smear his image in any way they can.

Winning the GOP nomination is hard enough for a traditional candidate who doesn’t rock any establishment boats. But The Donald is about as “traditional” a candidate as William Wallace was an English royalist. Trump is a quintessential rebel antagonist. Thus his run for the nomination must be far stronger than those of the past if he intends to win.

Free Trade vs. Fair Trade

Mar 14, 2016 — Nelson Hultberg

The argument over trade and whether governments should allow it to be “free” goes back to the latter 18th, early 19th century economists, Adam Smith, David Ricardo and James Mill. They could be said to be the fathers of the free trade movement that is still argued over today.

Reflections on the Revolution

Mar 9, 2016 — Nelson Hultberg

I believe Donald Trump to be a man of character and honor, not the caricature that a desperate establishment is painting of him. Sure, I’m uncomfortable with the bombast. But despite this, I support his wrecking ball efforts to roust the D.C. grafters and mealy-mouths of the GOP and restore some truth to the American political landscape.

Unfortunately few “talking heads” want to accept that, though Trump campaigns like a human blow torch, he is quite capable of changing his style. He was quite good. He gets into all kinds of “specifics” and is presidential. He talks as a unifier, not a divider. And he wings it off the top of his head. No teleprompter needed for this guy.

Collapse of the GOP Establishment

Mar 1, 2016 — Nelson Hultberg

For the past five years Americans for a Free Republic (AFR) has been working to mount an independent political challenge to the power elites of Washington who dominate our lives with a hideous regulatory state that one finds in dystopian novels.

We felt compelled to mount such a challenge because for many decades now both Democrats and Republicans have been part of this despotic process. They have created a monopoly in the political system that gives us only “bigger and bigger government.” Our once staunch and self-reliant people capitulate more and more ignominiously with each passing year to demanding more out of life than they are willing to put in. Our resplendent freedoms are wilting like severed orchids in the scorching sun.

Megyn Kelly and Donald Trump

Feb 8, 2016 — Nelson Hultberg

I watched the GOP debates from New Hampshire this weekend, but endured only 30 minutes of the Iowa debate. I cannot watch Megyn Kelly without feeling repulsed. She is the hatchet girl for Rupert Murdoch’s Fox News to take down Donald Trump’s challenge of the establishment. She fancies herself a daring journalist, but hasn’t got the intellect to grasp the big picture, which is what is required to really be daring.

Yes, she’s beautiful, but clearly a statist mentality ignorant of the crucial role of ideology in history. This comes through repeatedly in her interviews, which naturally are gratefully acknowledged by the elites who ardently rave about Megyn Kelly and put her mug on Vanity Fair’s cover. All this fawning by Madison Avenue and the corporatists has made her think she’s a real powerhouse for truth, liberty and justice.

The Coming Economic Crash

Feb 1, 2016 — Nelson Hultberg

Last fall I wrote that “our stock market is like the Titanic on April 15, 1912. It is living onborrowed time, and all the King’s men and horses are not going to be able to put this Keynesian Humpty back together again.”

Nothing since then has changed that opinion. The stock market is off to its worst yearly start in history going back to 1897. Down 10.03% in the first 12 trading days of 2016,the boys on Wall Street sense that something wicked this way comes and are piling out of stocks to find a hopeful haven in bonds.

Saul Alinsky’s Radical Spawn

Jan 25, 2016 — Nelson Hultberg

Most Americans believe that we won the fight against Communism when the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991 and Khrushchev’s famous boast that they would bury us proved to be empty. Not so. Communism is a monster of two guises. There is Marxist-Leninism and there is Gramsciism from Antonio Gramsci, an Italian communist thinker who broke with Marx and Lenin in the 1920s. The former preaches the violent overthrow of capitalism; the latter preaches the subtle subversion of capitalism and its ultimate transformation into tyrannical “mega-statism” over time.

In 1991, revolutionary Marxist-Leninism died, but gradualist Gramsciism still vigorously thrives. In fact one of its main proponents sits in the White House right now, and another proponent is trying to get elected so she can sit there also. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are two nefariously talented advocates of Gramsci’s gradualist socialism. Gramsci understood that the workers would never revolt as Marx and Lenin preached until the fundamental philosophical values that supported capitalism and freedom had been destroyed in the workers’ minds via ideological indoctrination. Individualism, personal industry, family solidarity, monogamy, private property, patriotism, belief in a Creator God, etc. had to be discredited through education. Then, and only then, could the system of free-enterprise be demolished and replaced with the “communist ideal.”

Singularity: Another Collectivist Myth

Jan 18, 2016 — Nelson Hultberg

A fashionable concept in today’s computer - IT world is the idea of “singularity” first pioneered by Ray Kurzweil throughout the 1990s and specifically in his 2005 book,

Ending the Income Tax and the IRS

Jan 11, 2016 — Nelson Hultberg

Imagine for a moment America without an income tax. No more tedious record keeping of all our expenses. No more April 15th deadlines. No more insufferable complexity and exasperating forms. It would no longer be government’s business how much money we earn and what we do with it. Such a reform would dramatically change the lives of every one of us for the better.
