I read recently that some white females who originally helped organize "The Women's March" protesting President Elect Trump's Inauguration in Washington DC, have dropped out due to blowback over their "white privilege." Hmm...that got me to thinking.
What if the black women who replace the white women get pushed out by transgender "women" protesting the black women's cisgender parochial pathology? And the transgender "women" in turn get pushed out by post-post-post feminism feminists upset by patriarchal appropriation of their gender? No doubt some irate SJWs will raise hell because directions to the protest are not printed in Swahili, Urdu, and other minority languages, thereby demonstrating subliminal Eurocentric racial animosity. And on it goes.
The various identity blocs may end up so insulted by each other that, with a little luck, no one will show up for the protest. One lives in hope.
Do I sound like I find the whole concept of "Identity Politics" idiotic? Well, there's a reason for that--I do find it idiotic, dangerously so. It is a poisonous brew of divisive, narcissistic navel gazing and grievance mongering that splinters people into various self-absorbed factions.
While it is true that the various factions can find common cause under one banner--"United Whiners of America"--it is a fragile coalition at best.
In truth, Identity Politics is the antithesis of inclusiveness and cohesion, and the whole sorry facade would soon fall apart if it was not continually propped up and funded by outside forces.
Be that as it may, there is little, if any, doubt that a President Trump will give Identity Politics short shrift. His Administration will foster a healthy inclusiveness, a real inclusiveness, an all-embracing inclusiveness. And I for one can hardly wait.
