Marriage: Consent, Commitment, Consummation, and Communication!

Marriage is consent, commitment, consummation, and communication. You can’t have a genuine marriage without all of them. It is not marriage if there is no consent (of the couple and until recent years, the fathers). Without commitment, even a state-approved wedding is simply a “living arrangement” that is sorry, sordid, and sad–also sin. It is no more than “registered cohabitation.” Just had to mention that; but while people and times change, principles do not. If the marriage is not consummated, then it is not a marriage. Finally, the marriage must be communicated to the community. Secret marriages have been legal at times but were never right.

Resistance to tyranny is obedience to God

As we celebrate this 4th of July, take a moment to consider and reflect upon some forgotten founding history incorporated into our Declaration of Independence. Genuine American history, having been replaced and obscured by “Social Studies”, is no longer taught in our schools and has long since been lost to our memory, but fortunately that history is preserved in our archives available to anyone with an interest in searching it out.

CTF Slams Senate Backscratching on Pensions Bill

The Senate rose today without a vote on bill C-518

OTTAWA, ON: The Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF) today condemned the Senate for shutting down before voting on Bill C-518, the Protecting Taxpayers from Convicted Politicians Act which would have stripped the taxpayer-funded pension from parliamentarians convicted of certain crimes like theft and fraud.

VIDEO: Ted Cruz auditions for The Simpsons

Confession: I’m generally not a fan of these candidate-attempts-comedy bits, not only because they’re usually terrible but because I get a little tired of politicians trying to appeal to people on the basis of things that are irrelevant to the office they’re seeking. I really don’t care if I ever see Jeb Bush slow-jam the news on Jimmy Fallon, and needless to say I’d rather boil my skin in acid than see Hillary Clinton attempt to be funny in any way whatsoever.

But dang. This is pretty good:

The Marxist agenda behind the rainbow

If you think Friday’s Supreme Court decision was about equality or equal rights for the three percent of the American population (at the expense of the 97 percent), you couldn’t be more wrong. If you think that Friday’s decision has no impact on you because you don’t care what people do in the privacy of their bedrooms, you couldn’t be more wrong. If you think the homosexual agenda is about tolerance, diversity or other slick marketing buzzwords, you are not only wrong, but sorely misinformed, misguided or you are purposely facilitating a lie.

America has a huge problem right now. Multiple problems, in fact, but like the victims of a train wreck, we must do triage so we can apply treatment in order of importance. The blunt force trauma inflicted upon America by five rogue members of our judiciary, redefining marriage as a result of a highly potent cabal of activists intent on America’s destruction, certainly moves this problem up the list of importance.

Jeb takes a swipe at Hillary by releasing 33 years of personal tax returns

Jeb takes a swipe at Hillary by releasing 33 years of personal tax returns Don’t look now, but Jeb Bush’s campaign is about to set a record in terms of releasing tax information. This afternoon, Bush will release 33 years’ worth of personal income tax returns via his website. That’s more than any other would-be nominee ever - by a wide margin. Only Bob Dole and John Kerry came close to this total, and the Bush release will outpace both of them by double digits.

Come to believe…

America is a great land. It’s a nation of individuals come together to shape a future for each by bonding and banding together to create a place of personal and individual liberty. It was designed, after great debate and with the idea a nation must be held to principles of equality and exceptionality. This allowed for the people to discuss and modify the path their government would follow for the benefit of the nation as a whole and with the government the servant of the people; not the other way around as in a monarchy. The individual citizen was the director of his destiny by holding the reins firmly in check on his government.

Bailouts, Bail-ins, and the Greeks’ Trojan Horse

While Americans are eagerly signing petitions to ban the American flag on the heels of Louis Farrakhan’s Nation of Islam leader call to ban the Stars and Stripes “due to its links to racism” or are busily banning anything attached in any way to the Confederate flag and our history, the United States and the world are in serious financial trouble driven by out-of-control debt, particularly the most visible nation of all, Greece.

Healthcare for illegals, gay marriage, and other non-stop crises occupy American overwhelmed minds, while the Trojan Horse of huge national debt and loss of sovereignty to the globalist Transpacific Partnership (TPP) mystery “committee” are ignored.

Marriage: A Ceremony Complicated By Government Interference!

The Supreme Court has ruled that gay marriage is the new norm.  But the real question is, should the government have any say in what constitutes marriage at all? What if there was a way to stop the controversy? What if we took government out of the business of marriage completely?

We have seen, over the past 6 years, government remove any signs of “Faith” from our schools, our government offices, our memorials, our military and our foreign policy.  But why then, are we allowing the government to make a decision about what most believe is a religious ceremony?

Gay marriage infringes on religion by ONE route

Last week’s Supreme Court decision in Obergefell v. Hodges opens another can of worms that is driving rhetoric in a way that misdirects people from the reality of its affect on religion and the free exercise thereof. No, this does not come from a lawyer, it comes from a missionary who, for more than 20 years, has delved into the legal entities that churches have embraced, essentially transforming their structure. And the change occurred innocently by way of the non-profit organization enticement.

Here are some salient points:

Scholar Speaks on Obama’s Red Mentor

The black scholar who previously revealed Obama’s personal relationship with Communist Party operative Frank Marshall Davis is now speaking in detail on the record. Professor Gerald Horne says that while the relationship is noteworthy and should have been uncovered by the press, there is no evidence that Davis turned Obama “into some sort of Manchurian candidate.”

However, Professor Paul Kengor’s book about Davis, The Communist, argues that Davis had a significant influence on the formation of Obama’s Marxist views and policies as President.

Pope Francis: ‘Defender of the Pagan Gaia Faith’

Pontificating from his window in a Vatican palazzo on Sunday, Pope Francis bypassed tens of thousands of pilgrims and tourists, to lavish with gushing praise a few hundred activists who had marched to St. Peter’s Square under the banner ‘One Earth, one family”.

Sunday marked the Feast Day of Saints Peter and Paul.

A detailed explanation of why Christians don’t accept gay marriage

Given the nature of the discussion following the gay marriage ruling last week, one thing that’s clear to me as a Christian who opposes gay marriage is that very few secular people - and sadly, by no means all Christians - really understand why Christians take the position we do.

That’s why there is so much being said that doesn’t really reflect what Christians think. Some say we hate or we judge. Others say we are against love. Some think we’re threatened by homosexuals. Some think we object too vociferously because we secretly want to join their ranks. Some even claim we don’t think God loves gay people.

Hillary withheld emails on Benghazi & Libyan oil - altered others to downplay sharia

According to a report published this weekend, not only did Hillary lie about the YouTube video but she also lied when she said she turned over all of her non-personal emails.  ....And at least a few of the emails that she did manage to turn over were sanitized to downplay some politically uncomfortable realities.

Under weight of massive welfare state, Greece about to default on IMF loans

If you want to know what happens when a nation absolutely refuses to reform its insane spending - even when it finds itself at the brink of fiscal collapse - I give you Greece. Not that you want it. The International Monetary Fund doesn’t. The Eurozone doesn’t. The Greek banking system is now shut down, and we’re a day away from Greece defaulting on its IMF bailout loans. When the Europeans presented Greece with an ultimatum - reform the spending now or be cut off - the most the Greek politicians were willing to do was call a referendum on the matter. And as we now see, that’s not anywhere near good enough:

Who Do They Think They Are?

Washington, DC - Chief Justice John Roberts was right when referring to “five lawyers” who think they can order the “transformation of a social institution that has formed the basis of human society for millennia….Just who do we think we are?” he retorted. He went on to write that the decision of these “five lawyers” (as he calls them three times in his dissent) “is an act of will, not a legal judgment… [because the so-called right] “has no basis in the Constitution or the Court’s precedents.”
