In the event you missed it: just in time for this year’s Judeo-Christian holiday season and Mattel’s 50th anniversary is Barbie dressed in traditional Islamic garb. In other words, it’s a “Burqa Barbie” that was “unveiled” last Friday at the Salone dei Cinquecento in Florence, Italy, as reported in the UK’s Daily Mail here (MailOnline). The “Burqa Barbie” is one rendition of about 500 Barbie dolls that are part of an auction benefitting Save the Children Charity.The Comment section of online publications is the new front in the ongoing Cancel Culture Battle.
