The world set a new record for energy use in the last year. And even though renewables are being installed at the fastest rate they have ever been, it isn't enough to keep up with the growing demand for energy let alone to 'convert' the world to net zero. (1)
Overall, despite the best efforts to wean ourselves off fossil fuels, the world remains 'stuck' getting 82% of its energy from them. We are a fossil fueled world. Solar and wind power make up just 6% of our energy needs.
The Energy Institute has released the Statistical Review of World Energy, and it shows global energy use has not only recovered from the pandemic, it is now 3% higher than it was pre-Covid. The relentless human desire for energy continues. In 2022, humans used 1% more energy than they did the year before and 70% of that growth was from China. (2)

When "Lurch" Kerry and that little sad fool Greta go to China to berate President Xi about all the coal plants he is building there, I will start to begin to listen to their nonsense about global warming.
I'm not holding my breath for those hypicrites to be doing that, though.
But don't try to bother the leftists with facts and other minor details (see Tony Heller's innumerable videos on YouTube and Rumble - he has be calling out the sheer stupidity of the "climate alarmists" regularly for years now) - the genius of the WEF and it's evil minions is that they have created a generation or two of emotionally driven useful idiots who have no capacity to think critically, and they know it.

There is no such thing as "fossil" fuels. Oil, gas and coal are "abiotic;" they are produced by the Earth in unending supply. There has never been such a thing as "peak oil." Oil, gas and coal are God's gifts to the world, since energy is necessary for the progress of mankind. World leaders know this; they and activist environmentalists are making fools of us.
