Frankly, the entire thing is convoluted, arrogant, entitled and despicable. It’s time to slam the door on DoorDash.

Door Dash: No Pre-Tip, Cold Food

In one of the more extreme cases of entitlement, DoorDash is pushing the limits. I have personally never used DoorDash, I prefer to cook my own food. If we do ever order food, 99 percent of the time, we pick it up ourselves.

Apparently, we are in the minority. Since the pandemic, DoorDash has become one of the fastest growing companies in the country. That said, things will hopefully be changing for DoorDash.

Door Dash- its time to give them the Bud Lite treatment. When a vendor advertises in a way you find unacceptable, then boycott their product. Nothing makes a vendor take notice faster than falling sales or reduced stock price, but it takes a number of customers all doing the same thing to make a difference.

I thoroughly agree with the points you made and the fact that our entire tipping culture has gotten so extreme and over the top. It is absurd, and like you, I have never used door dash but nor would I ever do so now (and if I ever had done so, their message/warning about delayed and/or cold delivery would cause me to close and permanently delete the app). I will point out one thing to ponder however - the acronym TIPS comes from "to insure prompt service" and these used to be paid ahead of time centuries ago (to tavern maids for prompt service) and before that, to executioners to try and ensure that the stroke was clean across the neck and not a miss onto the shoulder blade for example, causing an agonizing do-over.

First of all, calling the stuff they deliver "food" is a bit of a stretch. But, if you're going to eat the poison, at least get off your sofa, waddle out to your car, and - for Pete's sake - don't sit in your car and have some semi-retarded child shove sacks of burgers through your window.

When the workers/company demand extra money up front to do the job you are paying for it's called extortion. Time for Door Dash to go the way of the Dodo. Unfortunately this will never happen because those who use the service are the self-entitled, privileged, very wealthy people who are above the price point of normal household budgets.
