Hans Brinker and the Silver Skates

I am looking out into the snowy night. Blizzard warnings and this is just the start of it now. One white yard blends into the other white yards. I, too, grew up in that peaceful wonderful time.. of no fears, freedom to learn about the town and neighbors with no threats. In a town of population 3000 (Sitka, AK in the 50's). Our weekly treat was movies on the weekends. I think I saw about all the Westerns that had been put out at that time and probably all the Disney movies available.
Hard to imagine kids today understanding how special that life was.. And there's no way to bring it back.
Thanks for the memories, Barbi! You are a special friend!

What a wonderful way to walk back through time. I love the way you talk about your past, it reminds me of the days of my own childhood. Thanks for the memories!
