Even though it’s socialist New Democrat Party Leader Jack Layton who has been media-dubbed “the Barack Obama of Canada”, the similarities between Liberal Leader Michael Ignatieff and the U.S. president are more eerily striking.
On Monday President Barack Obama launched his 2012 re-election bid electronically. The day before Ignatieff launched “Canada’s first live streamed platform launch” for Canadian Prime Ministership in the May 2 election he and the Opposition Parties imposed on the people of Canada when they joined in on the non-confidence vote that brought the Stephen Harper Conservative Government down.
