Anyone who is paying any attention to what is going on around them sees their nation under assault. Not just here in America, but in Europe and much of the world as well. But, the real menace, the very real immediate threat to our existence and way of life hides in back page news stories. And almost no one is paying attention.
This threat to everything we hold dear, squirming its way into reality, is even seemingly benign in its banner...The Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC).
The Comment section of online publications is the new front in the ongoing Cancel Culture Battle.

Of course, when someone with nefarious intent attempts to sell the sheep on the benefits of the big new technology and point out how it will reduce crime, the brain-dead folks who say "hey! that sounds good! I don't do anything wrong!" cannot think it through and see it is the leader who decides what is a "crime".
So while no sane person (which seems to exclude most democrats today) is against drugs and child porn, in a few years when the benevolent master class decides that bullets or ice cream or large sodas or gas stoves or whatever are on the naughty list, then they will become unobtainable as well.
Seems there is ever more merit in the saying "one side has a bajillion bullets and the other can't decide which bathroom to use" - here is hoping that all this doesn't come to bloodshed but I cannot convince myself that is unavoidable.

Most likely the Government will pay out Social Security in crypto. I can just imagine the lawsuits because it will never be the same as cash. The leftists despise SS recipients and want us dead so they will cheat. Cheating is what leftists do.

Fortunately Biden needs Congress' blessing to roll out his digital currency and make it the standard. As of now, neither Republicans nor Democrats are fully onboard with this intrusion into our private lives. And if the US isn't going along with a digital currency, then I doubt if the candy a$$ EU's scheme will work either.
