It is mighty nice to have Jesus back in the fold again, so to speak – just in time for His birthday too! After many (way too many) years of American Christianity being subtly and not so subtly attacked by forces inimical to Jesus/God, it is with joyous expectation and relief that “we the people” look forward to President-Elect Donald J. Trump (and VP-Elect Mike Pence) reinstating “Merry Christmas!” while showing “Happy Holidays” the door. We look forward to them ushering in a period of grace where Jesus and His teachings once again serve as a lodestone and compass for America to steer by. So “Hark, and welcome back Jesus, happy birthday!” May we as a country, and as individuals, be worthy, and act worthy, of Christ’s manifold blessings -- Amen.
