This concerns a humble and holy priest from Brazil, Fr. Batista da Silva, who was accosted by a transgressor who maliciously disrupted his Ash Wednesday Mass while shouting obscenities against the priest, and who then proceeded to defile the Holy Eucharist after the priest mildly advised him that he would not be permitted to receive Communion in the hand as he demanded. After tripping and falling down through his own fury, parishioners were able to peaceably secure the man for the purpose of extracting the defiled Host from his hand, which was done successfully and without further incident. Their objective was to simply halt the altercation and defend the Holy Eucharist from sacrilege. Criminal indictments have now been brought against Fr. Batista on the grounds that he incited violence against the man. It should be pointed out that Fr. Batista was offering the Latin Tridentine Mass, which explains the man's hostility, since the Latin Mass is what enrages the devil's fury more than anything else. This isn't the first time the Latin Mass has incited the malice of the ancient serpent. Since when hasn't it?
