The Providence Fraternal Order of Police wrote to the head office of Dunkin’ Donuts, expressing their concern over two recent incidents that occurred recently in New England when officers went into their establishments to order coffee.
The letter says the FOP is concerned about the welfare of its members after an employee created a situation that caused officers to be concerned about the safety of purchases made at Dunkin’ Donuts. FOP president Chuck Canterbury wrote, “Any profession that suffered from negative media and an anti-rhetoric campaign would and should be concerned about tainted food service especially when someone would take the steps to sign a container by hand.”
