Many individuals in government refer to themselves as ‘public servants’. When you think of someone being a servant, isn’t he/she supposed to be subservient to the wishes of his/her employer? Isn’t the American public the employer for those in government? With how those in government conduct themselves, how could any one of them consider himself/herself a public servant?
