If like me, you’re sick and tired of teddy bears and flowers junking up public spaces because of yet another “man-caused disaster,” then you might be interested in the following: According to the Saturday edition of the Times of London, there are currently some “23,000 jihadist extremists” living in Britain and all are considered by The Times’ "intelligence sources” to pose a risk of violence. Some more than others, but the intelligence community maintains that all pose a “residual Risk.” Let’s put this another way; suppose that instead of looking at these dangerous whackos in a law enforcement or mental health context we viewed them in military terms. Exactly how big a hostile force would 23,000 combatants comprise?
