Governor McAuliffe signed Executive Order #16 on June 4, 2014 to establish the Virginia Energy Council chaired by the Secretary of Commerce and Trade, Maurice Jones. The council will have 20-25 members appointed by the governor and will “assist in the development and implementation of a cohesive, comprehensive, and aggressive energy strategy for Virginia.”
