The EU’s Final Frontier … Masculinity

The European Union, (EU) has once again decided that no display of stupidity is beneath them. In an area of the world that is seeing many of its traditions being stripped away, and with many deep seated issues and problems, they have decided that the way to fight evil and injustice is to eliminate what the EU refers to as “gendered words.”

The problem is that many people in Brussels have a good understanding of the English language, but don't completely master it. The word "man" in Star Trek doesn't mean the human male, but "man" in this case stands for mankind or humanity in general. Any person with some intelligence who has watched the series will also know that there are also many female members in the ship's crew who happen to be very qualified. There are also quite a few women who are captains or even admirals, so to qualify Star Trek as being gender biased is just ... plain stupid.
