Biological warfare research began in the United States in 1943 by order of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. The U.S. Army Chemical Warfare Service then began a large-scale research and development program at Fort Detrick in Frederick, Maryland. That research continues to this day.

I am not really surprised. When I was stationed at Fort McClellan AL in the early 1970s, the Army’s Chemical School (when it was still there) used nerve and mustard gas (and likely more chemical weapons I didn’t know about), to kill innocent animals for experiments and as training aids. NIH tortured and killed lab animals in their research, and probably still do. So this article won’t surprise many people. It’s disgusting and shows how evil prevails unrestrained.
