According to Canada's state broadcaster -- the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) -- "'Tornadoes of fire' in N.W.T. [Northwest Territories] are linked to climate change." The story cites Mike Flannigan -- a professor of Wildland Fire in the University of Alberta's renewable resources department -- and Dave Phillips -- a senior climatologist with Environment Canada -- as the sources for the link between these fires and climate change.
