Still, trying to police a fantasy land and prosecute those that offend someone is not reality, just like Horizon Worlds and other virtual reality games

Wasting Time: Police Investigate A Virtual Rape

In 2002, Tom Cruise made a movie called “Minority Report.” It was set In the year 2054 A.D.; crime is virtually eliminated from Washington D.C., thanks to an elite law enforcing squad "Precrime." They use three gifted humans (called "Pre-Cogs") with special powers to see into the future and predict crimes beforehand. John Anderton heads Precrime and believes in the system's flawlessness steadfastly. However, one day the Pre-Cogs predict that Anderton will commit a murder himself in the next 36 hours. Worse, Anderton doesn't even know the victim. He decides to get to the mystery's core by finding out the “minority report” which means the prediction of the female Pre-Cog Agatha that might tell a different story and prove Anderton innocent.

I foresee grave problems with virtual reality. Mental problems have risen due to video games and this VR crap is going to be even worse.

Hollywood is in BIG BIG trouble

The Psychopathic Therapists tell us that if you are assaulted and raped, it is important to live THROUGH the healing from it. If you DISCONNECT FROM REALITY, that way leads to permanent mental illness.

With the above said, will they now begin treating people who have "experienced" virtual trauma. Will they also make them refuse to pull off the headset and DISCONNECT from Virtual Reality? Think about the real insanity of this. It will be reported that it is harmful to your Psyche to not live through the VR... THIS is total insanity.

People play games where they kill and are proud of their kill count. Does that also leave psychic scars? If true, or found true in a court, think how deep this could go? Killing and robbing people in Red Dead Redemption, could cause you to become a murderous psychopath I guess.

I know NOTHING about these fantasy programs, but if you got scared couldn't you just take off your headset and stop it all right there? If you were continuing while knowing bad things were happening, then aren't you an accessory to the crime?

Avatars must be protected from virtual crimes - by virtual policemen enforcing virtual laws and decided by virtual judges with virtual lawyers in virtual courts. Problem solved.

It's not rape. I can see an assault case being attempted due to the threatening behavior exhibited by the "rapists, depending on how their law is written.

She couldn't just take the headset off? Seems like she wanted to continue watching/experiencing whatever was taking place VIRTUALLY.

I have the same opinion about "cyber bullying". If you are too s t u p i d to turn off your phone or computer to avoid the so-called "bully", then you deserve whatever happens.

By David Wamsley on 2024 01 04

Just how exactly will they do that? what if she is lying?

By parcelman007 on 2024 01 05

The FBI says we have a couple of hundred thousand terrorists in this country. I think Homeland Security set that figure at about 1.2 million(all just walking across our open southern border) and we are worried about virtual crime? And all so that the democrats can get more democratic voters into this country. When the civil war breaks out and all you dems are hideing in your houses with your loaded guns just in case the local gang decides to pick your house for the next home invasion then you tell me whether it was worth it to vote for these open border dems.

Another observation, What will be next, Chess?

By Renee wamsley on 2024 01 06

Since this was a " virtual crime" why didn't she go "Luara Craft" on her attackers?
