I have for the past few weeks stayed quietly away, gently watching the Trump-Clinton feud coming of age as election time draws closer. Many Americans, I assure you, are not the slightest bit aware of the enormity of what is at stake in these elections and the ensuing consequences to the nation, depending on who we elect to be our next president.
The Orlando massacre has now earned its uninvited place as the worst mass shooting ever in U.S. history of the nation and the deadliest in the U.S. since 9-11. It was not an "if" but "when". The handwriting was on everyone's walls, for all to see.
