Since we almost never hear from the peaceful Muslims, and with the radical Muslims able to carry out their attacks almost at will, one has to strongly suspect that the radicals are driving the agenda.
Here in the United States and Europe, freedom, especially freedom of religion, is totally ingrained in our conscience and in our culture. We have no experience with, cannot fathom, and cannot seem to cope with the prospect that there just might be a recognized 'religion' with a significant percentage of adherents that insist that those who choose not to follow their beliefs must be killed. It is totally foreign to our sensibilities.
Our politicians, our news media, the entertainment industry, and academia all add greatly to the problem. They refuse to separate the facts from the fabrication. They are devoid of answers. They are frozen with bewilderment. To compensate, these people, especially those in Hollywood and the entertainment industry see themselves as 'arbiters of social conduct.' These self-appointed judges and 'protectors of social justice' occasionally step down from their lofty perches and declare that this is racist or that is unjust and then climb back into their walled sanctuaries to await another incident of perceived injustice while remaining bereft of answers when terror again strikes.
