6 people, including 4 kids, found dead at Canadian home

Six people, including four kids, were gunned down in a mass shooting inside a Canadian home overnight, cops said Thursday.

Police made the grim discovery inside a townhouse in Ottawa’s Barrhaven neighborhood after a flurry of 911 calls shortly before 11 p.m., CBC News reported. -- More...

(CBC) Police have identified five of the victims as a family of newcomers to Canada from Sri Lanka. They are:

• 35-year-old Darshani Banbaranayake Gama Walwwe Darshani Dilanthika Ekanayake.
• Seven-year-old Inuka Wickramasinghe.
• Four-year-old daughter Ashwini Wickramasinghe.
• Two-year-old daughter Rinyana Wickramasinghe.
• Two-month-old daughter Kelly Wickramasinghe.

Police said Ekanayake's husband was injured and is currently in hospital in stable condition. He's since been identified as Dhanushka Wickramasinghe.

Another man, 40-year-old Amarakoonmubiayansela Ge Gamini Amarakoon, was also killed. — More…
