Debbie Wasserman Schultz spends a lot of time desperately trying to remind Florida voters that she loves Israel. Some might call this pandering. I'd argue she's just clinging to her rapidly deteriorating support like a cat trying to climb the curtains.
Here she is on Twitter:
The United States-Israel relationship must continue to be strong - and we cannot waver on Israel's security. #FL23Debate
Given that her oh-so-staunch support of Israel has been a repeated focus of her campaign, one might wonder how she can be such a vocal proponent of the Iran nuclear deal. After all, it released over $1 Billion worth of frozen assets to the terrorist nation. We also recently sent them $400 Million of not-ransom in an unmarked cargo plane. John Kerry himself admitted that some of that money would be used to fund terrorism.
Doesn't it then stand to reason that Obama's "deal" will end up funding Iranian attacks against the nation she claims to love?
Doesn't it, Debbie?
Frankly, the problem isn't that she can't "guarantee" the cash won't end up funding terrorists. The problem is that both the White House and State Department have acknowledged that it will. Wasserman Schultz knows this, just as she knows that Israel will be Iran's primary target.
So, the question is: Why would a devout supporter of Israel vote for something she knows full well will be used to attack the country in question?
Pray that Debbie Wasserman Schultz never supports you the way she supports Israel. She just might end up voting to fund people who want you wiped off the face of the Earth.
