Sitting out the decision is not an option

America's future

The decision to vote, and for whom to vote, in this 2016 presidential election can be summed up in three ways. First, to not vote is not an option in my view. Rev. Dr. C. M. Alexander, pastor of Antioch Baptist Church North in Atlanta, gave the most compelling and succinct reason to vote. Namely, if you view this presidential election as voting for the lesser of two evils, don't commit the third evil by not voting. There is and never will be a perfect presidential candidate in all of the eyes of all of the people, and the eyes of the blatantly biased liberal media. Even if a candidate emerges as a pretty good candidate, the liberal media will do its best to smear them right out of the race, if he or she does not fit their ideological choice for president.
In case you have not noticed, the liberal media paints a consistently negative picture of a candidate like Donald Trump with selective drive-by reporting, or by selectively not telling their viewers all of the facts. There are dozens of examples, one of which is shown in Dan's commentary demonstrating that – contrary to what they tried to tell you – Donald Trump did not mock a handicapped reporter. Also – and I hate to even bring this up because it’s not the sort of thing you want to foment by having to deny it – but the constant suggestions that Trump is a racist? Utter nonsense. I know the man personally. I know his character. So does Dr. Alveda King. So does Dr. Ben Carson. And we’re not the only ones by far. Donald Trump is a good and fair-minded man. Don’t believe this garbage, and don’t offer any respect to the people who spew it. Secondly, Rev. Dr. Benny Tate, pastor of Rock Springs Church in Milner, Georgia, summed up the Election Day choice this way: "I am more concerned about America's future than Trump's past." Granted, a person's past can be an indicator of character and trustworthiness. And when you look at it that way, the respective backgrounds of the two candidates is not even close. As Dan recently wrote:

"The problem with Trump is that he often behaves in ways that make you wonder if he is fit for the job. The problem with Hillary is that she constantly behaves in ways that confirm she is not fit for the job."
That's my third way of summing up this presidential election. I'll go with "wonder if he is" over "confirm she is not". Being fit for the job of president starts with character and trustworthiness. I'll take Donald Trump's character and trustworthiness over Hillary's from now until eternity. I may not last that long, but America's future will last. It can be brighter or darker. Trump or Hillary. Never Hillary!
