Andrea Tantaros tears into Mitt Romney's speech - 'Take It and Shove It'

It's been about 24 hours since Mitt Romney delivered his infamous anti-Trump speech, and the fallout continues. Romney's diatribe has been met with near-universal disdain as virtually every pundit, politician, and observer agrees: Mitt's divisive attack was a massive miscalculation. Depending on who you ask, it either further divided the GOP, thereby lending aid to Hillary Clinton, or it solidified Trump's support, making him all the more inevitable. Either way, if it was supposed to draw support away from the New York billionaire, everyone agrees it failed.

Then there's a group of people wondering why Mitt Romney even popped up to begin with. He was soundly rejected in 2012, and has a long history of being on both sides of every issue - which is exactly what he's accusing Trump of. As Andrea Tantaros, pointed out on Fox:
“It doesn't make very much sense... It’s almost like a coach who lost the Super Bowl 42-0, and is now coming out telling the winning coach what plays to call. I mean you look at his record in Massachusetts - and I want to take him to task on this - because he hit Donald Trump in some key areas. Mitt Romney's a liberal. He used to be pro-choice. Jonathan Gruber, the man that called everyone stupid, wrote Romneycare and Obamacare. That was Mitt Romney’s top aide. I don’t know if he was at the speech today I didn’t see him in the audience. Also, he lectured Donald Trump on foreign policy? Mitt Romney did not want to go after Osama Bin Laden and said that we should attack Pakistan, or ask Pakistan for permission before we attack. I mean Harris, I could go on, and on, and on. Mitt Romney has no business lecturing voters on electability or conservatism. ...And I think voters today look at him and tell his brand of conservatism to take it and shove it.“
We suspect a lot of you have said pretty much that exact thing over the course of the last day. Frankly, it's hard to know what spurred Romney to lecture Trump's supporters. Many suspect it was some kind of coordinated establishment plan to set the stage for last night's debate, which was also a complete trainwreck. One thing's for sure: If "they" were trying to put together some kind of anti-Trump master plan, and were hoping that Romney could forward their goals, "they" were sorely mistaken.
