Are you outraged by what the Opposition Parties are trying to do in Ottawa? Rejected by Canadians, they are nevertheless trying to seize power through the back door.

We're not even two months removed from the last election, and a group of backroom Liberal, N.D.P. and Bloc Quebecois politicians are attempting to form a "coalition" to take power from your duly-elected government. Do you want Stephane Dion, Michael Ignatieff, or Jack Layton to suddenly become Prime Minister, without a mandate from you or any other voter? Not a single voter voted for a Liberal-NDP coalition. Certainly not a single voter voted for the Liberals to form a coalition with the separatists in the Bloc. What's worse, during the recent election the Liberals even promised that there wouldn't be a coalition with the NDP! The opposition parties are excusing their actions by saying that the Conservative government is not dealing with the world economic crisis. We know that's not really their reason. For the opposition, this is not about the economy. It's about entitlement. They feel entitled to making taxpayers pay for political party staff, political party polling and political party advertising. And they are willing to defeat a Government that was elected with a strengthened mandate, so that they can hang on to their millions in taxpayer-funded subsidies. While people, businesses and organizations are all tightening their belts during the global economic slowdown, the opposition refuses to do its fair share. Subsidies for politicians and a job-killing carbon tax for voters - that's all the Liberal Party offers Canadians during a global financial crisis. Do the Liberals really care about the Canadian economy if they are considering giving socialists (Jack Layton) and separatists (Gilles Duceppe) a veto over every decision in government? That is a recipe for total economic disaster. The Conservative Government is taking action on the economy. We were ahead of the curve in anticipating the global economic slowdown. And we were ahead of the curve in injecting billions in tax cut stimulus - actions that are only now being replicated by other countries. We're actively cutting job-killing business taxes. Actively injecting billions to build roads, bridges and other critical infrastructure. And we're actively protecting Canada's banking system and the Canadian credit market by injecting tens of billions of dollars in liquidity to ensure people and businesses can get the credit they need. We don't want another election. But what we want even less is a surprise backroom Prime Minister whom we never even had the opportunity to vote for or against. What an insult to democracy. Would you like to personally encourage the leaders of the Opposition to respect the will of the voters? Would you like to courteously and firmly suggest that they get their monetary support from their own supporters and not from Canadian taxpayers?
