Congrats, Bernie. Wealth is good: We'd like to congratulate Senator Sanders on his acquisition of a 4-bedroom beachfront summer home in the Champlain islands

Bernie buys $600K beachfront summer home in the Champlain Islands

I like wealth. Money is fun. You can do a lot with it and, while it won't buy happiness, it will certainly allow you to afford a great many things that will make your time on Earth more pleasurable. I don't spend my days carping about the evils of rich people, capitalism, and self-indulgence. That's Bernie Sanders' job. At least, it used to be. These days, Bernie seems to have overcome his aversion to our Western ways. ...And that's great news. We'd like to congratulate Senator Sanders on his acquisition of a 4-bedroom beachfront summer home in the Champlain islands.
The Burlington resident last week plopped down nearly $600,000 on a lakefront camp in North Hero. Sanders’ new crib has four bedrooms and 500 feet of Lake Champlain beachfront on the east side of the island — facing Vermont, not New York. The Bern will keep his home in Burlington and use the new camp seasonally.
Huh. That's odd. In July we heard that Bernie had a net worth of just $528,000.00. I guess he must have done something to come up with the extra cash. Anyway, Bernie says he's a fan of the area, and over the years, he's visited many times with his family. Heck, the local deli even has a sandwich named after Hillary's pretend opponent.
Last Tuesday, the day of the closing, a relaxed-looking Bernie Sanders posed for a photo at Hero’s Welcome General Store on Route 2. The store, a bit south of his new abode, serves a sandwich called “Feel the Bun” in the senator’s honor. The $6.99 deli delight consists of a “HUGE” homemade roll, sliced turkey, fresh apple chutney, hot pepper relish, lettuce, tomato and provolone cheese. “It’s not fair that the Billionaire Class controls 99 percent of the bread,” the menu description reads. “Here’s a sandwich for the rest of us … to keep us nourished until everything cool is free!”

I'll be the first to admit that $600K isn't exactly going to place Bernie in the same neighborhood as the ultra-rich. It's nowhere near the millions of dollars that his fellow fake socialists (people like Michael Moore) spend on their lakefront mansions. However, It's something most of his Bern-feeling small donors and loyal socialists will never be able to afford. It's a second home, it's on the water, it's only used seasonally, and it's in a vacation area. Why, we could even envision him owning a boat and pulling it right up to his own dock! That's awfully bourgeoisie. We hope that this represents something of a turning point for Senator Sanders. Perhaps, now that he can relax on the porch, sit in a rocking chair, and enjoy his magnificent view, he'll come to realize that his admiration for breadlines was misplaced. After all...
