Cruz: Hey, if I win the Nebraska primary I might re-start my campaign

You probably didn't know there was a Republican primary in Nebraska today. Because the race is all over and Donald Trump is going to be the nominee. So it's academic, right? What difference does it make, right? Not so fast. Maybe Ted Cruz knows something you and I don't, but he seems to think there's at least a chance he could somehow come out on top in Nebraska. And if he does? Er . . .
"We launched this campaign intending to win. The reason we suspended our campaign was that with the Indiana loss, I felt there was no path to victory," he said Tuesday on conservative host Glenn Beck's radio program. "If that changes, we will certainly respond accordingly." Cruz demurred on supporting Trump, the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, because the Republican National Convention and general election are still months away. "This is a choice every voter is going to have to make. I would note, it's not a choice we as voters have to make today," Cruz said when asked about supporting Trump.
This has to be nothing, right? Just idle talk, right? I have no doubt that Cruz would jump back in if he thought he suddenly had a chance to win, but how would a Nebraska win change the death blow that was his loss in Indiana? Maybe he's being strictly hypothetical. Then again, if ever there was a year when the impossible could happen, it's this one. Is Carly still on board?
