As usual, when I take a few days off I totally unplug from watching, listening or reading any news until I'm headed back home
Here are some of the things that are not new since I've been gone:
The President Trump "Russian connection" thing. There's no new evidence but the liberals keep spinning the story, and Congress is going to do an investigation.
The Democrats in Congress trying to slow-walk and destroy the Republican plan to repeal and replace the Unaffordable Care Act (UCA). This is in spite of the fact that the UCA is imploding and not working as promised.
Senator Rand Paul (R-Kentucky) and others still wanting to completely repeal the UCA first, knowing full well it changes the votes required from 51 senators to 60 senators to pass anything new. The Democrats have made it perfectly clear that they are against any Republican plan to replace the UCA.
The Trump administration's proposed plans to rebuild our military, while Democrats' continued pushback is that it's too much spending. Never mind that the world is more dangerous today than it was just a decade ago, and that our military readiness is way below historic levels.
President Trump's claim that the previous president "wiretapped" his calls and some of his people's calls. An investigation is pending.
Continued attempts by the propaganda-driven liberal media to make mountains out of mole hills concerning anything or anybody Trump. For example, How many times President Trump has spent weekends at his Florida home? Even though he was still working, that wasn't the story.
Here's the big story I discovered first thing Tuesday morning! The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has scored the AHCA, and concluded erroneously that it would leave 24 million people without health insurance. If you need further evidence that their finding is bogus, then read Dan's commentary explaining why.
Secretary of Health and Human Services Tom Price also pointed out that the CBO's scoring is wrong and not credible. When the CBO first scored the UCA back in 2009, it predicted that 24 million people would sign up for the UCA by 2016. The actual number was 12 million. For 2017, the CBO predicted 26 million would sign up for the UCA. The actual number was 10 million.
So this means that the CBO's prediction is off by at least 50 percent. In other words, seven million people might lose health insurance without the UCA. That's 2.0 percent of the population and most of them are on Medicaid. I doubt if they will voluntarily get off Medicaid, and there's nothing in the Republican replacement plan that would force them off Medicaid.
This is why the liberals' arguments on the basis of the CBO report are insane and illogical. But that's what we will continue to hear and see for the next few days in the liberal media. Once again, they don't care about the facts if the facts do not support their desired outcome. Democrats want to kill the AHCA and keep the UCA.
This is why I needed a few days off, so we could continue the never-ending task of refuting the Democrats' and liberal media's insane and illogical bull feathers about anything Republican and anything Trump.
