Love quickly became a party favorite after her 2012 Republican National Convention speech captured national attention. In the speech, she talked about her parents’ immigration to the U.S. from Haiti, and attacked President Obama for policies that she said failed to improve the country. She lost that year’s election to Matheson by fewer than 800 votes, but promised a rematch last year. Matheson’s surprise December announcement added fuel to Republicans’ hopes to pick up the seat. The Democrat is leaving office after more than a decade. The suburban Salt Lake City district is considered a likely pickup for the GOP.Love's opponent will be Democrat (and Salt Lake City attorney) Doug Owens. This, of course, drives the progressive sheeple right up the wall. The progs have already started calling her a "traitor to her race" and a "token" because, obviously, a strong, black, female conservative couldn't possibly have anything worthwhile to say. Right, Dems? Who was racist again? Because I thought it was racist to presume that all people of a certain color should think exactly the same way. Here's Mia Love's speech at the 2012 GOP convention. Watch out, Dems, she has a mind of her own! DESTROY HER!
