Do you get Rush Limbaugh? If not, why? Over 20 million listeners tune into to hear Rush Limbaugh espouse conservative views on topics from abortion to the war on terrorism. Limbaugh doesn't have a giant ego, nor does he have a Svengali hold over more than 20 million people; rather, he is an educator of conservatism.

Limbaugh's impact of conservatism can be felt as far back as 1988, but it can be specifically felt when he was made an honorary member of the freshman class of the House of Representatives in 1994 at Camden Yards. In giving Rush Limbaugh an honorary title, members of that freshman class indicated that Limbaugh represented the voice of conservatism and the American people as much as they did. For over 20 years, Rush Limbaugh has been educating Americans on conservatism. Now, he is given a chance to go on offense once again. Instead of defending conservatism, Limbaugh is given an opportunity again to use a freshman class of the House of Representatives as examples of how conservatism will only help America. Rush Limbaugh will have many "teachable moments" in 2011. The lessons of conservatism will resurface as the new House of Representatives begins to steer America back towards a Constitutional Republic. Some of these "teachable moments" will be: Political reform can be disastrous. Conservatives know that Americans must embrace political reform before it can be legislated in Congress. America has and never will be a socialist country. Reform must be made so that it preserves America's founding traditions. America is guided by moral laws, having an origin in God. Conservatives know that Americans are guided by the Judeo-Christian ethic, and our laws are governed in a morality that could only have come from God. Every American has a right to life as stated in the Declaration of Independence. Variety is the sole characteristic of the American civilization. Conservatives fight tyranny and the uniformity that it creates, knowing that America can only be great if Americans are allowed to prosper in their unique differences. Americans have a right to their property, rewards achieved through their abilities. Conservatives know that limiting those rewards of property--through Czars--are not only immoral, but are a contradiction to the principles of the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution. America's freedom and economic gain are forever connected. Conservatives know that there is no vitality rooted in socialism. America can only be great if Americans are allowed to pursue successes without fear of redistribution of wealth through excess taxation and other legislative means. Courts are full of danger. Courtrooms can spread tyranny through partisan and unconstitutional rulings--such as Roe vs. Wade or Rasul vs. Bush. Conservatives know that courts must be limited to the power that the Framers intended on judicial review of the Constitution. America needs true community. Conservatives know that through churches and volunteer organizations that its community will thrive, and that no government program can replace the generosity of a true community. Education must be left to a local jurisdiction. As much as conservatives know that American needs true community, it also knows that the education of its children must be left to the local community--not to the Department of Education. The Earth is not fragile. The conservative knows that the Earth is more than four billion years old and has survived countless earthquakes, volcanoes and hurricanes--none of which has destroyed the planet. Therefore, it is simply best to ask as Rush Limbaugh asks, "How can we destroy that which we did not create?" America should set an example in the 21st Century. Conservatives know that America should not dominate the world; rather it should set an example of liberty for the world to see, insuring a more prosperous America. Conservatism is not just the concern of the rich. It is more representative of the most modest of Americans, allowing every person a chance to pursue successes through those unalienable rights granted by God. All Americans can derive a benefit from America. In order to accomplish that feat, America must make a return to a Republic. It isn't hard to understand Rush Limbaugh. First, leave your emotion at the door. Secondly, understand the American conservative and the principles handed down by the Founding Fathers. And finally, know that the U.S. Constitution is the law of the land. Knowing the American conservative is getting Rush Limbaugh.
