GOP Senator Mark Kirk (IL) announces he'll be the 51st vote to confirm Obama's new Attorney General

You may know Senator Mark Kirk (R-IL) as the "staunch" RINO who can't resist siding with Democrats on virtually everything. In the past he's been reliably pro-gun control, pro-amnesty, pro-choice, and pro-stimulus. Now, you'll know him as the guy who will probably provide the deciding "yes" vote in the confirmation of Obama's new Attorney General, Loretta Lynch.

As Reuter's reports:
"I am confident from my conversation with Loretta Lynch that she will be a valuable partner in confronting the gang violence that is robbing families of their children every day in Chicago," Kirk, a senator from Illinois, said in a statement. All 44 Senate Democrats and two independents are expected to vote for Lynch, who would be the first African-American woman to head the Justice Department. Most Republicans are planning to vote against her to protest Obama's November executive order easing the threat of deportation against 4.7 million undocumented immigrants. Prior to Thursday, four Republicans indicated they would vote for Lynch's nomination, and with Kirk, there potentially would be a majority in the Senate to confirm her.
Loretta Lynch, you will recall, is the woman who Ted Cruz claims would be "materially worse than Eric Holder." “Unfortunately," Cruz said. "Mrs. Lynch, through the course of the entire hearing, refused to acknowledge a single limit on the president’s authority under the Constitution. ...When I asked her in what ways she would differ from Eric Holder, she said no ways whatsoever.” So thanks, Senator Kirk, thanks for selling your country down the river.
