Hey, Democrats, guess what? AP reports Hillary is CRUSHING Bernie Sanders right now

I'll be the first to admit we've had a lot of fun with Hillary's losses around here. Because we feel that she is - without question - the worst possible candidate to sit in the Oval Office, we delight in her failures. However, thanks to the way the DNC works, her disastrous 2016 campaign is actually demolishing rival Bernie Sanders, and it would take something of a miracle to reverse that trend. As the AP reports, Hillary has a staggering 481-55 delegate lead. ...If you include her pledged superdelegates.
So much for Bernie Sanders' big win in New Hampshire. Since then, Hillary Clinton has picked up endorsements from 87 more superdelegates to the Democratic National Convention, dwarfing Sanders' gain from the New Hampshire primary, according to a new Associated Press survey. Sanders has added just 11 superdelegate endorsements. If these party insiders continue to back Clinton overwhelmingly — and they can change their minds — Sanders would have to win the remaining primaries by a landslide just to catch up. He would have to roll up big margins because every Democratic contest awards delegates in proportion to the vote, so even the loser can get some. After the contests in Iowa and New Hampshire, Sanders has a small 36-32 lead among delegates won in primaries and caucuses. But when superdelegates are included, Clinton leads 481-55, according to the AP count. It's essentially a parallel election that underscores Clinton's lopsided support from the Democratic establishment.

Basically, Hillary owns her party like few candidates in history. Yes, superdelegates can change their minds, but we all know they probably won't. The "tight race" we're all watching is little more than political theater. Bernie is doing better, yes, and he's closing the gap against Clinton. However, he will probably not see the kind of landslide support needed to scare the superdelegates into changing their positions. Democrats enjoy pretending that the GOP has rigged the political process in favor of Republican candidates. They bleat about the electoral college, voter fraud, and "big money," but, at the end of the day, their party makes the GOP look like the very model of purity. Hillary will, in all likelihood, be their candidate whether the base wants her or not. Fortunately for her, the left doesn't really care. They'll yammer about disenfranchisement until the cows come home, but only if they can use that claim to target Republicans. When their betters select their "inevitable candidate," they'll reveal their true colors. All of the pretense will fall away, they'll abandon the deeply-held values fueling their pro-Bernie fervor, and they'll line up to pull the lever marked "D."
