Hillary: Don't let anyone tell you businesses create jobs

We've covered here a million times how Hillary Clinton is unqualified, unaccomplished, megalomaniacal, and certainly not as brilliant as her champions would have you believe. But a clip like this one makes me think it's far, far worse than that. It makes me think she's just flat-out dumb. Forget about disagreeing with a statement on ideological grounds. This doesn't even make any sense:
What? Somewhat against my better judgment, I am actually going to take this blather seriously enough to parse it and reveal how completely devoid it is of anything that might be confused with a logical thought.

She starts out bad enough: Don't let anyone tell you businesses and corporations create jobs. Now that's idiotic in the extreme, but she's talking to a liberal crowd and we all know they hate corporations, and they all think that somehow, some way, government creates jobs. So of course Hillary is going to pander to this clueless psychosis because that's what she does. But then she goes here: Trickle-down economics! It doesn't work! What? Does Hillary even know what trickle-down economics is supposed to be? You hear this a lot from Democrats, who seem to think that any free-market notion is trickle-down economics. The concept - sometimes attributed to humorist Will Rogers in regard to the New Deal, interestingly enough, you Democrats - originated with Democrat presidential nominee William Jennings Bryan in 1896. He was deriding the supposed notion that if you "legislate to make the well-to-do prosperous" that it would eventually "trickle down to everyone else." This thinking presumes that government is in control of the distribution of wealth - a presumption Hillary Clinton would surely embrace - and suggests that government should allocate to the upper echelons of society then sit back and let it trickle down. Good luck finding any conservative who seriously touts "trickle-down economics." At any rate, what this has to do with who creates jobs in the here and now, I have no earthly idea. Who does Hillary think creates jobs, if not businesses and corporations? Does she think unions create jobs? Does she think shady real-estate deals, insider cattle futures trades and $200,000 speaking fees create jobs? The cluelessness about economics and job creation is bad enough, but the progression of her argument . . . Business and corporations don't create jobs? How do I know? Because trickle-down economics! It doesn't work! It's almost as if she knows nothing about economics at all. Scratch that. It's almost as if she knows nothing about anything at all. A major U.S. political party is apparently getting ready to nominate this woman for the presidency. This woman is dumb as a doornail. When we watched this video over the weekend, my wife asked aloud, "Where do all these people who listen to her think they're going to get jobs?" My 14-year-old son Tony, without missing a beat, replied: "The University of Their Basements." And that's where you'll find the people dumb enough to vote for her.
