MARKHAM, ON, - Hyundai Auto Canada Corp. today announced it had sold 11,503 units in July 2010, representing an increase of 9.7 percent over the same month last year and the 18th month of year-over-year sales gains.
Year-to-date, Hyundai has sold 73,717 units, an increase of 17.1 percent over the first seven months of 2009.
"In order to sustain a year-and-a-half of monthly sales gains, companies simply must offer great products," said Steve Kelleher, president and CEO, Hyundai Auto Canada Corp. "To that effect, more and more people are putting Hyundai vehicles on their shopping lists as we launch all-new vehicles such as the Sonata and Tucson. The quality, style and value proposition of Hyundai products are clearly resonating with Canadians."
The Tucson, Sonata and Genesis Coupe vehicles in the Hyundai line-up showed strong sales in the market, recording increases of 71.9, 37.4 and 28.9 percent, respectively.
