Heading into the final hours before the first-in-the-nation Iowa caucuses begin on Monday, polls show former President Donald Trump maintaining a commanding lead over his GOP rivals in the Hawkeye State.
A final Des Moines Register/NBC News/Mediacom Iowa Poll, the results of which were released on Saturday night, matched the general trend seen in recent surveys: Trump dominating the field with 48% support, former South Carolina Governor and United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley hanging far back in second place at 20%, and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis close behind Haley at 16%.
