Earlier, Dan posted Shepard Smith's gruesome description of a Jordanian pilot's burning death at the hands of Obama's "Jayvee team." If you haven't watched it, you should. God knows you don't want to watch the actual footage. The savagery and barbarism on display are unlike anything the world has seen since the 1930's and 40's.
This morning, Jordan responded to the atrocity by hanging two captured jihadists. The first was a woman whose release ISIS had demanded in exchange for one of their now-beheaded Japanese prisoners. The other was a top-level Al Qaeda operative named Ziyad Karboli. Various news outlets are suggesting that this may be just the beginning of Jordan's retaliation. As Reuters reports:
Jordan hanged two Iraqi jihadists, one a woman, on Wednesday in response to an Islamic State video showing a captured Jordanian pilot being burnt alive in a cage by the hard-line group. Islamic State had demanded the release of the woman, Sajida al-Rishawi, in exchange for a Japanese hostage whom it later beheaded. Sentenced to death for her role in a 2005 suicide bomb attack in Amman, Rishawi was executed at dawn, a security source and state television said. Jordan, which is part of the U.S.-led alliance against Islamic State, has promised an "earth-shaking response" to the killing of its pilot, Mouath al-Kasaesbeh, who was captured in December when his F-16 warplane crashed over northeastern Syria.
First of all, it's worth pointing out that both of these prisoners were allowed to exit the world in a far more humane manner than ISIS has ever offered. Hanging is surely unpleasant, but it's nothing compared to the level of grotesque atrocities that the Islamic State carries out, en masse, on a daily basis. Second: Good for Jordan. This is what ISIS understands. They're an organization of savages, nothing more. They can't be bargained with, they aren't going to cut deals, and they won't back down - ever. Theirs is an ideology that comprehends only submission or violence and, since the world can't allow itself to submit, it's going to have to respond in a manner befitting ISIS' evil. Sadly, we're saddled with a President is still does his best to downplay the realities of ISIS. His initial statement in response to the pilot's death was simply one of the the most milquetoast things imaginable.

As the Daily Mail reported:
President Obama had said earlier that if the video turns out to be authentic, it would be more evidence of the group's 'viciousness and barbarity.' He added that the U.S. would 'redouble the vigilance and determination on the part of our global coalition to make sure they are degraded and ultimately defeated,' adding that the footage serves to indicate that 'whatever ideology they are operating out of is bankrupt.'
"Whatever ideology they're operating out of it's bankrupt?" Seriously? He's still pretending we don't know what their ideology is? ..And don't even get me started on the fact that he thought to include the word "degraded" in there. As far as being a "bankrupt ideology" I'd say that theirs - while indescribably evil - is pretty potent. A "bankrupt ideology" is one that increases your own country's national debt by 70% in six years. Fortunately, it looks like Jordan has learned the lesson that Obama is incapable of understanding. They've had enough, and it's about time we followed their lead.
