Of the 65 boycotters, 44 belong to the neo-communist Congressional Progressive Caucus

Left-wing extremists in Congress are leading the Trump inauguration boycott

It is becoming increasingly clear as President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration approaches that the attendance boycott by lawmakers is being driven by the most radical left-wing group in the United States Congress. I am referring to the truly awful neo-Marxist Congressional Progressive Caucus, which currently has 75 members, all of whom are Democrats (except for Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont who is an Independent). The Congressional Progressive Caucus has 75 members in Congress. Of the 75, 74 are House members and one is a member of the Senate.
Of those 75, 44 members say they will not attend the inauguration ceremony at the U.S. Capitol on Friday. In other words, as of right now, 4:00 in the morning on Jan. 19, 59 percent of the Congressional Progressive Caucus is boycotting the swearing-in. (See the list at the bottom of this article. On it, all members of the CPC are included along with whether they say they will attend the inauguration.) The Washington Post reported yesterday (Jan. 18) at 4:05 p.m. Eastern time that 65 Democrat members of the House have indicated they will not attend the inauguration ceremony scheduled for tomorrow. In other words, of the 65 boycotters, a full two-thirds are members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus. It seems a safe bet that the 65 boycotters figure will grow, perhaps dramatically, in the coming 24 hours.

"I'm completely unsurprised that the majority of the Congressional Progressive Caucus are boycotting President-elect Donald Trump's inauguration," Trevor Loudon, an expert on left-wing organizations, told Bombthrowers. "America's communists have been spewing their hatred of Trump on the streets for months. It is logical that the hard left's lackeys would also try to do their spiteful best to mar the new president's special day." The number of boycotters reportedly spiked after Trump tweeted Saturday that Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga.) is “all talk, talk, talk” and should “finally focus on the burning and crime infested inner-cities.” The public spat between the two men began last weekend when Lewis characterized Trump as an "illegitimate president." Despite his heroic activism in the Civil Rights Era, Lewis is a terrible person who has devoted almost all of his career to making America weaker and poorer. He has been dining out on his ancient activism for more than a half century. Like the civil rights movement he served, Lewis has become corrupt and destructive. He is a nasty hateful old man who lies about his political adversaries and spews ugliness. This radical anti-American blowhard has long supported the same left-wing policies that have kept much of his congressional district in Atlanta a hellhole.
