It is hardly a secret that the Liberal Party of Canada has been desperately trying to rebrand themselves to let Canadians know just what they are all about. Now we know. Michael Ignatieff made it abundantly clear this week that absolutely nothing has changed with this party and that their socially liberal ideology remains firmly fixed in place.

Mr. Ignatieff thinks it would be a good idea for Canada to push the Liberal abortion agenda on third world nations and is quite willing to spend your tax dollars to make sure the culture of death which has been rampant in Canada for the past 40 years continues. The fruit of this nightmare has clearly been negative with many women experiencing and admitting to the misery, depression, nightmares, sterility and other evil consequences of abortion. When Prime Minister Harper announced last week his desire to make the fight against infant mortality and maternal deaths a key issue at the upcoming G8 meetings in Canada he was talking about things like clean water, vaccines, nutrition and health care worker training. This a long way from promoting abortion and most Canadians can easily make the distinction between true Canadian valuesand Mr. Ignatieff's agenda. Gerald Hall Parksville, B.C.
