Hollow shells of pretentious platitudes

Many Questions Surround Obama Awards

In this era of “ObamaNation” we are learning that some things that were once held in relatively high esteem and even treasured, are now nothing but hollow shells of pretentious platitudes that are presented in hopes of currying favor with someone who holds a title that once had greater meaning and importance. Two of these jaded things come to mind with the recent Nobel Peace Prize and the University of Michigan’s prestigious Doctor of Laws, being given to Barack H. Obama. There is every reason to suspect that these awards were given not for any worthy accomplishments but mostly to place the presenters in the good graces of the receiver.

The Nobel Peace prize is presumed to be awarded to a person who: "during the preceding year, shall have done … the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses." Maybe in this particular case it was the presumption that these things may at some point get done by the honoree. The Nobel Peace Prize has had other questionable tinges in past awards, particularly the mind-boggling ones that incredibly were made to Adolph Hitler, Socialist Chancellor of Germany; Benito Mussolini, Socialist Dictator and Head of State, Italy; and Communist/Socialist Dictator Joseph Stalin, USSR; three Socialist dictators who contributed heavily to making a joke out of the concept of peace. No wonder that Joel McDurmon writing in “American Vision” May 4, 2010 reported on what Obama said when he spoke to UMichigan’s graduating class, that “he denounced the rhetoric flying around these days: we must dispense with phrases like socialist.” There’s no better example of a die-hard socio/communist learning of some really BAD former culprits of the same stripe, and calling for “Change” which Obama is well-versed and experienced in doing.

‘Guilt by Association’ phobia setting in Mr. “O”?

Obama’s award will quite naturally start the guessing for the 2010 award; will it be Hugo Chavez of Venezuela or will that long-time peace lover Fidel Castro finally be recognized? Another Hussein, Saddam as he was known, and Chairman Mao Tse-Tung (or ZeDong) of Red China might also be in the race. Then perhaps it could also be that the Norwegian Nobel Committee sees a lot more peace making overtures in Obama’s mind and will unexpectedly give him a second consecutive award for even more things that he hasn’t done yet, which will certainly establish a new threshold of qualifiers for consideration for awards.

Obama’s contempt for our laws and our sacred and revered United States Constitution

The other curiously questionable award just recently given to Obama was the University of Michigan honorary degree of Doctor of Laws. This one makes me wonder if they make some of these awards in reverse; you know, instead of the high end presentation, it goes to the bottom. Obama’s contempt for our laws and our sacred and revered United States Constitution, the basis and foundation for all of our laws, would be a big factor in the giving of a reverse award in this case. When it comes to ignoring and bypassing legitimate and established laws our Usurper in Chief is second only to his House Speaker and Senate Majority Leader. This disregard for traditional and orthodox application of our laws is highly obvious in his extensive and expensive efforts to keep the real identity of his actual birth record along with all of his schooling records, travel records, passport and foreign travel records a closed door secret. Then again, that Doctor of Laws degree might have been in Sharia Law, which he would like to impose on the United States when he has disposed of our Constitution.
