You may have already seen the following clip, but it's 4th of July weekend and I thought I'd share it for those who haven't. It's the Friday before a holiday, so let's have a little fun. The question is this: What if Independence Day's President Whitmore gave his rousing rally-the-troops speech today? How would the media react? The answer is hilarious, terrifyingly accurate, an astute indictment of the way the modern media machine works.
