Some dummkopfs in Quebec want to change the name of the Champlain bridge to Maurice Richard bridge. Comparing Maurice Richard to Samuel Champlain is downright silly. Richard was a Canadian.

Champlain was a Frenchman who served his king for the glory of France. However, I have heard many a Quebecois refer to Champlain as their own "Uncle Sam," I suggest they leave Champlain's name on the bridge, and rename a street or square in Montreal for the Rocket. William Bedford
