New video: Another Planned Parenthood butcher haggles over fetal tissue prices

The Center for Medical Progress has put out another undercover Planned Parenthood video, and on first glance I had a bit of a problem with this one that I didn't see with the first one. Whoever it is that's talking to Dr. Mary Gatter, the Medical director at Planned Parenthood Pasadena and San Gabriel Valley in California, seems to be goading her into jacking up the price of fetal tissue. You'll see that when that discussion begins, Gatter throws out $75 as a price for intact tissue and her counterpart replies this is "way too low" and wants to start with at least $100 so as to keep Gatter happy.

Without a doubt, the left and the media (but I repeat myself) will seize on that as evidence of some sort of entrapment operation. But Gatter doesn't deserve to get off the hook for that. If you keep watching, you'll notice two things:
  1. Although she claims Planned Parenthood isn't in it for the money, she keeps coming back to the notion that the money "has to be big enough to make it worthwhile." There's no way to square that statement with the claim that all they get is reimbursement of expenses.
  2. She is clearly willing to alter the manner of the abortion procedure to make it easier to get the tissue out intact. She mentions the form Planned Parenthood signs promising not to do that, but she's not citing it by way of refusing to alter the procedure. She makes it clear she's willing to ask for the procedure to be altered, and she mentions the form only to point out that it could become an issue.
These people are absolute monsters. See for yourself: The inclusion of the blanket denial from Cecile Richards at the start is a nice touch. Do anything you want in the shadows but don't do it in a way that makes our neatly dressed and well-manicured leader look like a liar. By the way, of course, the White House today said they have no intention of de-funding this organization of murderers and liars. You're not really surprised, are you? In order to be shamed into doing the right thing you have to have the capacity for shame in the first place. The people who gave Iran a permit to build nuclear weapons in exchange for nothing, and who regularly announce they have no intention of enforcing the law if they don't want to, aren't going to be cowed by some video of their allies talking about profiting from their butchery of children. Just remember this as Planned Parenthood and its media protectors commence the latest round of obfuscations: There's a huge difference between official policy and what you actually do. People in government have known that for a long time and their baby-murdering allies have learned it only too well.
