ObamaCare a 'crazy system' that 'doesn't work', says . . . Bill Clinton?

He's right, of course, although you suspect his preferred solution is not a free market system that lets individuals make their own economic arrangements without the interference of the state. ObamaCare is just about the craziest thing in the world, and not only for the people who make just too much to get subsidies. It's crazy for the people with subsidies too because the quality of the care they can receive under such a cost-controlled structure is far less than if they simply paid the same money out of pocket directly for services. Now, why he went off like this could be explained in one of two ways I suppose:
1. He's a die-hard policy wonk, and when you get him going there's no stopping him. Everyone knows ObamaCare is a turkey and just as Bill is famous for his lack of discipline in, er, other aspects of his life . . . he can't hold his tongue forever when there's an opportunity to show everyone how brilliant he is. 2. He knew exactly what he was doing. Two clips, courtesy of ABC via the Republican Party, which naturally jumped all over this:

Bill Clinton: Obamacare “Crazy System,” People End Up W/ “Premiums Doubled And Coverage Cut In Half”

Bill Clinton: ObamaCare Insurance Model “Doesn’t Work,” “Doesn’t Make Any Sense”

Is this further evidence of one of my long-held theories - that not only can't Bill and Hillary stand each other, but Bill really doesn't want her to be president because that would mean she'd equalled his greatest political achievement and he would no longer be the Big Dog? I've always been convinced that her obsession with becoming president owed largely to her utter disdain for the position of First Lady, which she sees as a weak and subservient role that is utterly at war with her desperate need to be seen as Brilliant In Her Own Right. It's the world's biggest double-edged sword. He made her First Lady and she'd be nothing without him, so she owes him everything. Yet she hates his guts because precisely because she'd be nothing without him, and she'll crawl free of that covering if it's the last thing she ever does. So maybe the reverse is also true. As badly as she wants him to no longer have anything over her, he wants to stay number one. He doesn't sound all that calculated here. He sounds like he's just Bill being Bill and saying what he feels like saying. But maybe that's the point. Hillary can't ever talk policy with this much articulation. She hectors and yells in that monotone screech, and she tries to stay with her talking points but everyone can tell when she's lying or otherwise lacking in sincerity. And of course, now that Bill's let the cat out of the bag that even policy-smart Democrats know what a disaster ObamaCare is, Hillary's campaign will have to scramble to deal with the consequences. The inevitable "clarification" from Bill is probably mere hours away. Fun on the campaign trail with Bill Clinton! You think this is good, you should try flying with him.
