Obama's Bible quote of the day: Don't throw stones in glass houses

I actually think the left may take some comfort from the fact that, when their president presumes to quote the "good book," he lets loose a well-known bromide that can be found nowhere in the Bible. They become apoplectic when politicians who actually know the Bible quote it, and mean what they say in doing so. They start freaking out that "dominionist" Christians are about to take over everything and take away their right to party.

Barack Obama clearly presents no such threat. He wouldn't know a real Bible passage if it smacked him in the face: This reminds me of some of my favorite Bible passages. Like the one where Paul tells Barnabas, "A penny saved is a penny earned." Or when the Israelites ask Moses when they will reach the Promised Land, and Moses says, "A stitch in time saves nine." Then there's that time when John is in exile on the island of Patmos, receiving the revelation of future events, and he thinks to himself, "Manic moves and drowsy dreams, or living in the middle between the two extremes!" You know, really, if the nation wants to elect a completely secular president (as we just did twice), can the guy do us all a favor and not pretend to care what it says in the Bible when he obviously doesn't have the slightest idea anyway?
