Not dismissing all SEC employees who were viewing porn during the greatest financial crisis since the Depression, sends a slap on the hand message. Harry Markopolos testified before the House Financial Services Committee that the SEC must be overhauled. For nine years he contacted the SEC and was ignored. Perhaps many were watching porn instead of pursuing Madoff? Others have attempted to alert the SEC to potentially fraudulent cases and have also been ignored. Only a few of the 33 employees were dismissed and are paid between $99,000- $222,000. The public should be outraged. Girls Against Porn is asking all concerned citizens and elected officials to contact SEC leadership. Please relay this as unacceptable. Instead of protecting the public, employees were indulging in and supporting pornography, which destroys marriages and relationships, drives demand for human trafficking, is a staple of child molesters, and is attributed to many deaths. When did it become acceptable to get paid for viewing trash, all while ignoring one of the largest Ponzi schemes ever to surface? If SEC leadership took this seriously, they would have dismissed all 33 employees.
