Dems have lost their own party over 'non-story conspiracy theory'

Poll: Not a smidgeon of voters believe the IRS 'lost' those emails, and even Dems want someone's head

It's not a real story. Like the U.S. housing aliens at Area 51, it's a baseless "conspiracy theory." It's a Republican witch hunt designed to humiliate the IRS and destroy a Presidency. The American people are sick of these false accusations and distractions.
That's the word from our Democrat overlords, who are desperate to have you believe that there's "not even a smidgeon of corruption" over at the IRS. Unfortunately for the Dems, it isn't working. Virtually no one believes that the "lost" emails were actually lost, and even Democrats are demanding the investigation continue until someone is held accountable. From a new Fox News poll:
The consensus is: it’s no accident. More than three-quarters of voters -- 76 percent -- think the emails missing from the account of Lois Lerner, the ex-IRS official at the center of the scandal over targeting of conservative groups, were deliberately destroyed. That suspicion is shared across party lines, albeit to varying degrees. An overwhelming 90 percent of Republicans think the emails were intentionally destroyed, as do 74 percent of independents and 63 percent of Democrats. It's that last number that should concern Democrats trying to claim this is a "phony scandal." Their own party overwhelmingly disagrees. Worse still, a growing majority Dems wants the investigation to continue until someone is held accountable. Some 74 percent of voters now say lawmakers should investigate the IRS “until someone is held accountable,” up from 67 percent who felt that way in April. That includes 66 percent of Democrats.
That means the hearings aren't going away anytime soon, so Elijah Cummings will have plenty of opportunities to keep embarrassing his party. How many people are actually buying the ridiculous official story, you ask? How many voters are actually dumb enough to believe that this whole thing was one big accident that resulted in a bunch of unfounded fear-mongering? Not many.
Overall, just 12 percent of voters believe the emails were destroyed accidentally.
So, congratulations Democrats. These numbers leave you with a miniscule 12% minority who are actually stupid enough to believe your con, and another 12% who - apparently because they're stranded on a desert island or something - have no idea what's going on. That means that at the absolute best, you have a meager 24% who are willing to swallow the official lie. You must be so very proud of your President and his administration.
