The corrosive Culture of Hate: Don’t let the publicity # and exploiters of tragedy take away our turning to prayer

Pray That Media Holds Tragedy Exploiters Back Allowing for Mourning Time

Pray That Media Holds Tragedy Exploiters Back Allowing for Mourning Time We live in dangerous times, times made all the more dangerous by politicians and members of the entertainment industry who exploit them for that self aggrandizement called PUBLICITY. It is high time for the media, both mainstream and social, to cut society a break by following rule-of-thumb order that keeps back all seasoned exploiters of tragedy, allowing authorities and first responders the time to carefully assess when, how and why each and every tragedy happens. Self-centered publicity hounds like Chelsea Handler and Kim Kardashian; politicians like Senator Dianne Feinstein should be denied instant media access—until after every soul cut down by unhinged monsters has been memorialized in loving memory and prayer; until each and every one of them has been laid to rest; leaving every one of their loved ones the dignity and privacy to mourn and grieve without the hurtful knowledge of what these exploiters of tragedy are posting to Twitter and other social media.
In honoring the dead and the desolate loved ones who have to bury them, it is the ONLY decent and respectful thing the media can do. The corrosive Culture of Hate, launched late on Presidential Election Night 2016, unleashes the exploiters on the suffering after each and every tragedy with the media allowing them to have at it full-blown. Words cannot possibly describe the heartache that followed the slaying of 17 bright-eyed people, leaving 14 others hospitalized when a former student went on a killing spree yesterday afternoon at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. In the human agony that followed, how many recoiled in shock and disgust upon reading the social media posts of comedian Chelsea Handler who rushed in on the tragedy to state that Republicans were at fault? While parents who lost daughters and sons wondered how to tell siblings of the fate of the deceased, Handler’s mind remained steadfastly on coming November elections: “Chelsea Handler called on Americans to elect candidates who are not funded by the NRA in the November elections. (DailyMail, Feb. 15, 2018)
“ ‘We have an opportunity to elect candidates who won’t allow kids to go to school and get shot. It is disgusting how many times this has happened and Republicans do nothing,' she tweeted. 'You all have blood on your hands.’”
How many choked on frustration upon reading the words of ‘reality star’ Kim Kardashian?

“Kim Kardashian was just one of the celebrities NOT sending thoughts and prayers to Florida on Wednesday. (DailyMail) “The 37-year-old took to Twitter to instead demand action from the government, after yet another American gun massacre left at least 17 dead Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland. 'We owe it to our children and our teachers to keep them safe while at school,' she tweeted. 'Prayers won't do this: action will. “‘Congress, please do your job and protect Americans from senseless gun violence.’ “The reality star retweeted a number of stats that continuously show up in the wake of these tragedies, such as how many were carried our with the infamous AR-15 assault rifle; or how every air passenger must take off the shoes because if one shoe-bombing attempt, yet after 1606 mass shootings gun law remains the same.”
Mark Ruffalo saw fit at this time of unspeakable tragedy to condemn prayer as useless, and went on to pretend to know “the prayer of the Saints” in Heaven:
“Mark Ruffalo agreed: 'Prayers without accordant action are silent lies told to oneself, heard by no God, amounting to nothing. Action is the language of truth, the prayers of the Saints.’” (DailyMail)
Leading the political howling anti-gun wolf pack, but not the only one, was treacherous Senator Diane Feinstein:

“Although the push to ban “assault weapons” is a common, politically correct reaction among gun controllers, it does not change the fact that such firearms are by no means the weapon of choice for killers. (Breitbart, Feb. 14, 2018)
“For example, in 2011, less than .012 percent of the overall deaths in America were tied to “assault weapons.” And more recently, in 2016, FBI statistics show that four times as many people were stabbed to death than were killed with rifles of any kind.”
In spite of the magnitude of hatred and hurt hurled their way as the bodies of the innocent were still warm; even though publicity hounds and elected officials ridicule them for praying, people still pray for the Creator’s Mercy. Don’t let the publicity # and exploiters of tragedy take away our turning to prayer. It is all we really have. Dear God, let us keep the faith even as we prepare for the burial of so many loved ones; keep those cut down within view of your Most Holy Face; comfort all loved ones left behind, keep us living in undying hope of a better day. Amen.
