According to senior Iraqi sources, ISIS militants blew up a baby in a training exercise, the UK Mirror reported Monday. According to the report, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi’s terrorist group wanted a human victim as a training aid to teach militants how to strap explosives to a live human being.
Chris Hughes and Sam Webb said the baby's father had already been executed after being accused of killing a fellow terrorist. The victim was allegedly wired up with explosives in front of dozens of recruits in an apparent effort to dehumanize them.
"The organization booby-trapped the baby in front of dozens of armed ISIS men and then detonated it from afar," said Diyala’s Provincial Security Committee Chairman Sadiq el-Husseinim, recounting a report in the Arabic-language A-Sumeriah News. “The organization doesn’t care about the most basic human values," he added. “Their crimes are incalculable and the blowing up of the baby is the best proof to the threat of ISIS’ ideology to the state.”
