Republican senators: Don't let great be the enemy of good

The Democrats and the liberal media are still pushing their dishonest rhetoric about what's not in the Republicans' American Health Care Act, and the damage it's supposedly going to do to people. All lies! As I wrote on Sunday, pre-existing conditions are taken care of through a high-risk pool funded to the tune of $130 billion over 10 years. But the liberal media and Democrats keep pushing the lie that they are not covered. Scare tactics 101! Nancy Pelosi says the Republican AHCA is a tax break for the rich at the expense of poor people. Another lie! Class warfare scare tactics 101! Pelosi's Senate counterpart Chuck Schumer says they will use every procedural trick in the book to stop the AHCA.

Schumer doesn't sound like the interest of the people is a priority for him and the Democrats

Schumer doesn't sound like the interest of the people is a priority for him and the Democrats. They want to keep ObamaCare no matter how bad it is, and now we know what's in it, Nancy! The Republicans in the Senate are not helping the cause of repealing and replacing ObamaCare with their public rhetoric of wanting to write their own bill. Have they not been paying attention? It was difficult and complicated to get to this big first step, and they want to start all over. That's insane! There is nothing the Senate can do to this bill to make it acceptable to everybody. We learned that from what happened in the House. Even at that, 20 Republican members of the House voted against the AHCA, and we will remember them in 2018. We will also remember the senators who kill this opportunity to relieve the American people of the worst legislation in the history of this nation. The Democrats and the liberal media are still in denial that ObamaCare really has been that much of a disaster, which is why they want to save it. Republicans should not be in denial about how badly ObamaCare is hurting people. Just look at the taxes to be repealed with the AHCA as Dan listed in his recent commentary. Repealing and replacing ObamaCare removes a huge burden from the backs of the American people. Now, let your senators know. This is no time for ideological perfection. It's a time for practical solutions. Republican senators, please don't let great be the enemy of good, because good is a thousand times better than ObamaCare.
